GLACIER VIEW LODGE NEW ADULT DAY CENTRE

Glacier View Lodge is a complex care facility which provides progressive residential care and various associated community services for seniors of the Comox Valley. The new 1600-sq.ft. Adult Day Centre addition, completed in May 2015, provides a sunlit dedicated space for clients facing age-related health issues such as Alzheimer’s or Dementia to socialize, receive medical monitoring, enjoy a meal, be assisted in bathing, or join in special activities.

The Adult Day Centre offers a spacious open-concept activity area, dining room, and lounge, as well as dedicated rooms for resting and medical support services. Extensive high-performance glazing on the wall adjoining the courtyard means the open activity area is flooded with sunlight. Extra wide barrier-free glass doors lead out to a new 1600 sq.ft. enclosed patio. A tall covered entrance features timber columns and framing, with stained cedar sloped soffits and fascia providing a warm accent to match the new fencing around the patio.
